Lecturer in Sports Studies

Job Introduction

Here at Bury College, we are now welcoming applications for a Lecturer in Sport Studies. As a Lecturer in Sport Studies you will deliver excellent and inclusive teaching, learning and assessment on our Sports courses, inspiring learners to succeed and progress.

You will plan delivery so schemes of work, lesson plans and individual learning plans support learner programmes and undertake ongoing high-quality formative and summative assessment of learners’ work, both in class and through regular out of class activity to monitor progress.

About You

We’re looking for someone who holds a degree or equivalent in Sport (or a related subject area) and who has previous teaching experience on Sport (or related) courses (or teaching practice for ECT’s). Your experience will include producing effective schemes of work and lesson plans, and mean you are able to integrate high-quality formative assessments into classroom delivery.

A qualification or professional recognition and experience in sports massage and rehabilitation is desirable.

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 08th May 2026 and will include a microteach.
